Miami International Tradeport, City of Medley, Miami-Dade County – Due Diligence and Environmental Permitting
Description
Ms. Colbert was project manager and field team leader in performing a wetland delineation, tree survey and listed species survey for a 124-acre forested parcel in Medley, Florida. Ms. Colbert also led the Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessment work. Based on field review it was determined that 2.23 acres of jurisdictional wetland existed on the northwest portion of the site. Site design constraints did not allow for on-site wetland preservation, therefore Ms. Colbert negotiated that all mitigation was to be purchased off-site at Florida Power and Light Everglades Mitigation Bank. .Ms. Colbert supported the design engineer in obtaining the Individual Environmental Resources Permit from the SFWMD and the USACE, the Miami-Dade County Class IV Wetland and Miami-Dade County Tree Relocation Permit.
The site is to be developed into an industrial park planned to include up to 1.6 million square feet of institutional-grade warehouse and distribution space.
